As we travel more frequently than ever for work and play, the need to always stay connected with family and colleagues becomes even more important. A start-up now claims to have created the world’s simplest telepresence robot, which is designed to help us feel as if we are present at a location when we are actually not.

Manufactured entirely in India, I2U2 has a high definition display mounted onto a gleaming white movable base, making it look like EVE, a character from the movie Wall-E. I2U2 can recognize ‘yes’ or ‘no’ gestures, and users can take control of I2U2 from anywhere in the world through a website or mobile app, and command it to perform tasks like finding a person in another room. With telepresence robots becoming more commonplace, we can forever banish feelings of loneliness when in a foreign land.
