The grand prize winner of the Third Marie Sklodowska Curie Award, Moriwaki was the first to emphasize observing oxygen spectral lines over traditional hydrogen lines to understand the early universe’s large-scale structure. She also developed a machine learning-based signal separation method, significantly enhancing the detection efficiency of distant galaxy clusters.
