Fatehah was recognized in 2016 with a L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Malaysia Fellowship for investigating nano-pollutants in palm oil mill effluent. By studying the fundamental characteristics of these pollutants, including their stability and dispersion properties, she hopes to contribute to a long-term, sustainable wastewater treatment for palm oil industries and help to reduce the pollution in Malaysia’s rivers.
