Hwang received the 2025 Taiwan Outstanding Women in Science Award (Rising Star) for her impactful contributions to atmospheric and climate science. Her research advances understanding of climate dynamics and interactions between the atmosphere and oceans, using observational data and modelling to study large-scale climate variability and change.
