He was also recognised as a 2024 Goalkeepers Champion by the Gates Foundation for pioneering evidence-based interventions to combat malnutrition and improve child survival.

Ahmed’s work has shaped policies and programs addressing stunting, undernutrition and infectious diseases, helping scale nutrition and health solutions that benefit vulnerable populations in Bangladesh and other low-income settings. Through decades of research and advocacy, he has strengthened global efforts to ensure healthier starts for children and improved nutrition outcomes worldwide.”
