Austrianova Opens New Facilities In Singapore

The Austrianova facility at Synpase, Biopolis will house the company’s headquarters and GMP production activities.

AsianScientist (Feb. 3, 2015) – Austrianova has opened their new company facilities at the Synapse building in Biopolis, Singapore’s biomedical sciences hub where key research institutes and organizations are located.

Housing the company’s headquarters, the purpose-built facility also has self-contained lab space. The Company will continue to perform R&D as well as translational research using it’s proprietary cell encapsulation technologies Cell-in-a-Box® and Bac-in-a-Box® at it’s new location and the Austrianova headquarters are housed in the same facility.

Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) activities, including the production of biomedical cell products for clinical use, will be carried out at Thailand Science Park in Bangkok. On January 29, 2015, a special open house was held for guests including Mr. Kenneth Waggoner, CEO of PharmaCyte Biotech Inc., Chairman of A*STAR Mr. Lim Chuan Poh, the Head of the Austrian Embassy in Singapore Mr. Volker R. Ammann and Mr. Michael A Png from the British High Commission.

Mr. Brian Salmons, CEO of Austrianova, said “We are pleased to move to the new and larger facilities which have been custom designed to suit our needs at such a prestigious location. The new headquarters will allow us to expand our activities in Singapore”.
