Miyazaki developed the Hyper Suprime-Cam (HSC), an ultra-wide field-of-view camera mounted on top of the Subaru Telescope in Hawaii. HSC is currently the world’s largest camera used in surveying the universe; it has been instrumental in helping researchers map the distribution of dark matter across the universe.
