Manatunge received the “Most Outstanding Senior Researcher in the field of Technology and related Science” award offered by the Committee of Vice-Chancellors and Directors Sri Lanka (CVCD). Once every two years, CVCD awards the most prolific academics in Sri Lanka to honor their outstanding contributions.
