In 2016, Wang and colleague Anthony G. Fane were recognized with the Alternative Water Resources Prize, part of the Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Water, for developing a membrane that can reduce membrane fouling and scaling during water reclamation and recycling processes.
