Reddy, a renowned aerospace and navigation scientist, received the 2015 RAeS Silver Medal from the Royal Aeronautical Society, London, as well as the inaugural 2015 IEI-IEEE Award for Engineering Excellence for his significant contributions towards avionics, missiles and aerospace technologies in India. Since 1986, Reddy has led the conceptualization, design and development of sensors, navigation systems and satellite navigation receivers, and spearheaded the flight testing of avionics systems in India. He was also appointed scientific adviser to India’s minister of defense in 2016.
