Shukla won the Infosys Prize 2023 in Life Sciences for his outstanding contributions to the biology of G-protein coupled receptors (GPCRs), a key component of cell function. His studies have elegantly illustrated mechanisms that selectively activate signaling pathways downstream of GPCRs.
