Rerknimitr was honored with the 2025 National Outstanding Researcher Award by the National Research Council of Thailand. He also won the 2025 Outstanding Internist Award in Academic Excellence from the Royal College of Physicians of Thailand. He was recognized for his dedication, ethical integrity and pioneering work in gastroenterology, including the development of artificial intelligence tools for colorectal cancer screening.
