Liao received the Outstanding Award at the 2025 Taiwan Outstanding Women in Science Awards for her pioneering research in communication networks and next-generation wireless technologies. Her work spans wireless and vehicular networks, multimedia communications and intelligent edge computing, including innovations in 5G/6G edge-enabled immersive communication systems that improve synchronization, reduce latency and optimize network resources. Liao’s research has had global impact, contributing to international initiatives such as the EU 6G Flagship white paper and advancing the foundations of next-generation digital infrastructure.
