AsianScientist (Oct. 26, 2015) – On August 29, 2015, a book published by Asian Scientist celebrating 25 of Singapore’s pioneering scientists was officially launched at an event held at the Goodwood Park Hotel. Sponsored by grants from the SG50 Celebration Fund and Nanyang Technological University, Singapore’s Scientific Pioneers documents the lives of the scientists who played a role in developing the science and technology sector in Singapore, drawn from in-depth, one-on-one interviews.
Copies of the book will be distributed for free to school libraries, national libraries and scientific institutions across Singapore. A PDF version of the non-commercial book is also available for free download from https://www.asianscientist.com/pioneers/.

We would also like to honor those featured in the book but unable to attend the launch: Hang Chang Chieh, Lui Pao Chuen, Phua Kok Khoo, Kanagaratnam Shanmugaratnam, Su Guaning, Tan Chorh Chuan, Tan Gee Paw, Teoh Swee Hin and John Wong.
