Google DevFest 2011 Comes To Asia

Google’s 2011 DevFest is coming to Asia! Starting in Bangalore on Sept 15 and Hyderabad on Sept 17, the event will then head to Southeast Asia with stops in Manila, Chiang Mai, KL, Singapore, and Jakarta.

AsianScientist (Sep. 12, 2011) – Since 2008, the Google DevFest tour has attracted thousands of app developers around the world to its annual event.

This year, Google has organized a new 2011 tour, in addition to its recently announced Google Developer Days.

DevFest is a free event that provides the opportunity for developers to learn about Google technologies and developer products. Here, developers will be able to interact with Google engineers who work on the products and ask them questions.The engineers will also talk about the latest and greatest from Google, with best practices on how to improve the quality of web and mobile apps.

The target audience for this year’s DevFest are web, mobile, and enterprise developers of all skill levels building applications in the cloud with Google and open web technologies.

Starting in St. Petersburg, Russia on May 25, the event will move to Mexico City, Mexico on August 9, before heading to Asia.

In India, the event will take place in Bangalore on September 15 and Hyderabad on September 17. For Southeast Asia, it will be held in Manila on September 19, Chiang Mai on September 24, Kuala Lumpur on September 29, Singapore on November 12, and end in Jakarta on November 16.

The organizers recommend registering early and checking back for a successful confirmation email. On the day of the event, attendees should bring a copy of the confirmation email and a photo identity card.
