Cargo Vessel Rena Strikes New Zealand’s Astrolabe Reef, Marine Rescue In Process

After cargo vessel Rena struck the Astrolabe Reef on October 5, Maritime New Zealand rescue workers and volunteers have been working furiously to save marine wildlife from the effects of the oil spill.
