AsianScientist (Jan. 16, 2012) – Innospace Labuan, the fourth Innospace center to be set up around the country, was launched yesterday by the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Datuk Seri Panglima Dr. Maximus Johnity Ongkili.
Located at Pusat Rukun Tetangga Perumahan MPL012, Innospace Labuan is a community innovation center project aimed at increasing and developing the culture of creativity and innovation amongst the grassroots community.
The other centers are in Sabah, Sarawak, and Malacca, all which were set up last year.
Besides exhibiting grassroot innovations, the four centers also provide advice in branding, packaging, and labeling of products; training in creativity and innovation; and opportunities for networking with industry.
Innospace Labuan is a joint collaboration between the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), Yayasan Inovasi Malaysia (YIM), and Jabatan Perpaduan Negara & Integrasi Nasional (JPNIN).
